We will attend to your general and personal needs in our facility.

Zion Adult Residential Facility is a staff-operated, 24-hour residential facility for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The facility is designed to serve four (4) adults, male and/or female, between the ages of 18, and are ambulatory. We provide a wide range of services designed to address our residents’ general and personal needs.

SERVICES WE OFFER

Basic General Services
Our basic general services include the following provisions:

  • Lodging: Four single rooms with linen, bed, chair, side table, lamp, chest of drawers, and closet. Residents have the freedom to furnish and decorate their sleeping or living units within the lease or other agreement.
  • Three nutritious, appetizing meals and snacks between meals and after dinner. Most special diets can be provided (e.g., low salt or sugar) if prescribed by a physician.
    – Laundry service will be made available to residents. They may also choose to do their laundry.
  • Cleaning of a resident’s room will be done with their permission.
  • Changing of linen at least weekly or as needed.
  • Transportation (& accompaniment if requested) to medical and dental appointments, recreational & community activities, and religious services.
  • Telephone.
  • Planned activities within the facility and in the community. We consider our residents’ favorite activities and outings.
  • Notification of the family or other appropriate agencies or persons if a resident needs a change in their current care plan.
Basic Personal Services
Our basic personal services cover the following provisions:

  • Continuous observation of general health and assistance with obtaining medical and dental care as required.
  • Assistance and training with bathing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living as required.
  • Assistance and training in developmental skills to participate in the community and enjoy leisure time.
  • Assistance in taking prescribed medications as required.
  • Bedside care for minor temporary illnesses.
  • Maintenance, supervision, or assistance with cash resources or personal property management as required.
  • Training as outlined in the Appraisal/Needs and Service Plan, and IPP to develop skills in the areas of self-care, health care, movement/mobility, communication, social, leisure, and community participation.
